With the long-awaited reunion of The Replacements now less than 10 days away, we’ve now finally got official word of who’ll be joining Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson on stage at Riot Fest in Toronto: drummer Josh Freese and guitarist David Minehan, both of whom played with Westerberg on his early ’90s solo tours.

Peter Murphy’s been on the road since April with his “Mr. Moonlight Tour,” and when it came time to wrap it up Wednesday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the former Bauhaus leader had a treat for fans: He was joined by The Mission’s Wayne Hussey to perform T. Rex’s “Telegram Sam” and David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust.”

Over the past few weeks, the members of the Pixies — Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and new bassist Kim Shattuck — have been treating fans to photos and video through a collection of new Twitter, Vine and Instagram accounts named “The Actual Pixies.”

Ministry today debuted the music video for “PermaWar,” the first single off the industrial-metal act’s forthcoming album From Beer to Eternity — which Al Jourgensen has announced will be the band’s last. The album is due out Sept. 10, and will also be available in a “mini-coffin” box set.

Former Pixies bassist Kim Deal this week dropped the third installment in her new “Solo Series” of 7-inches, a two-song single (“Are You Mine?t” b/w “Wish I Was”), which you can buy digitally at the usual digital places or on vinyl via her site, KimDealMusic.com. This time, though, she’s got a video, too.

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present one of the weirder things you’ll see today: Siouxsie and the Banshees’ “Alice In Wonderland”-inspired “Play at Home” special that aired on the U.K.’s Channel 4 in 1983, during the period Robert Smith was in the band.

As we reported last month, long-running U.K. post-punk act New Model Army returns this fall with its 12th studio album and first in four years — and now we’re getting the first taste of the upcoming Between Dog and Wolf via the premiere this week of the music video for first single “March in September.”
