Reformed post-punk legends Mission of Burma hit the West Coast of the U.S. later this week for a four-date tour that includes an appearance at Seattle’s Bumbershoot festival, and, ahead of that, they’ve treated fans to a bit of new music in the form of this rehearsal video.

With Kate Bush set to take the stage this week in London for her first full concerts in 35 years, the BBC on Friday night aired an hour-long documentary “The Kate Bush Story: Running Up That Hill,” featuring archival footage, plus new interviews with fans including John Lydon, Elton John and more.

Echo & The Bunnymen this week wrapped up their U.S. tour in support of brand-new album Meteorites, and capped the trek with a return appearance on “Late Night with David Letterman” last night that saw the band performing that album’s “Holy Moses” for a national TV audience.

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey took to the stage in a small club in the U.K. last week for an hour-long set that featured his first performance of his old band’s material in 27 years, a warm-up for his appearance at the Rewind South festival over this past weekend and his upcoming North American tour.

Johnny Marr, the legendary co-founder, guitarist and songwriter for The Smiths, today debuted the first track off what’s being billed as his second solo album, the 11-song Playland, which is due out Oct. 6/7 via Warner Music.

Last weekend, ’80s jangle-pop favorites Let’s Active reunited on stage in Carrboro, N.C., for the first time in 24 years, performing an 11-song set at Be Loud! ’14, a benefit for the Be Loud! Sophie Foundation in memory of 15-year-old Sophie Steiner, who died of cancer last year.
