As we reported last fall, the documentary “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records”  — which, to date, has only screened at film festivals and special events —  will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in April, along with a soundtrack album. Steven Severin these days devotes himself to making new music for old movies, composing and performing scores for decades-old silent films. Now, though, he’s providing the score to “Borley Rectory,” an animated documentary about the “most famous haunted house in England.”

Tim Burton’s latest stop-motion creation, “Frankenweenie,” doesn’t debut in theaters for another 10 days, but the companion album Frankenweenie Unleashed! came out today featuring a brand-new recording from The Cure’s Robert Smith: a woozy cover of the old Frank Sinatra standard “Witchcraft,” which you can stream here.

The Cure’s Robert Smith is again teaming up with director Tim Burton, following up his contribution to the companion album to Burton’s 2010 version of “Alice in Wonderland” with a song on the upcoming Frankenweenie Unleashed!, a 14-track collection of songs “inspired by” the filmmaker’s new stop-motion creation.
