Paul Weller’s  latest album, A Kind Revolution, has been out for just three months, but the former Jam and Style Council frontman is already dabbling in new musical territory, with the surprise release over the weekend of the three-part Afrobeat-flavored single “Mother Ethiopia.” Stream all three versions here.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark today released the second official single off the group’s upcoming album The Punishment of Luxury — the title track, which is accompanied by a brand-new animated video that you can watch below. The track follows the release of first single “Isotype” in late May.

For the past few days, Elvis Costello’s Twitter account has been teasing some sort of mystery release that’s due out on the Fourth of July, initially available in a now-sold-out 10-inch 45 rpm single, but which also will be available digitally starting tomorrow. Not much else is yet known about the release.

Responding to website-crashing demand for its first new single in a decade, The The today announced it has re-pressed the 7-inch for “We Can’t Stop What’s Coming” on white vinyl in what is presumably a less-limited run, and is now selling the record on its website. The new pressing is available now.

The The today apologized for a trouble-plagued attempt to sell extra copies of its Record Store Day 7-inch single online Saturday, and, acknowledging that “demand far exceeded everyone’s expectations,” announced that “We Can’t Stop What’s Coming” will be released digitally and on CD.
