Peter Buck plans to release something he’s calling a new “monkey concept single” in the coming weeks on vinyl label Mississippi Records as well as re-press his 2012 solo debut — but without the song “LVMF,” because he only cleared its profane Sonny Boy Williamson sample for the album’s first 2,000 copies.

She may be busy with her Breeders reunion and Last Splash box set, but Kim Deal’s still got time to churn out new music — the latest being the second installment of her new “Solo Series” 7-inches, a two-song single that’s now available digitally and can be pre-ordered on vinyl.

Ex-Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins re-teams with The Heartbreaks for a 7-inch single to be released in the U.K. for Record Store Day this Saturday — and you can stream both tracks. Side A is a new song by Collins and the band while the B side is a new version of the Orange Juice’s “Untitled Melody.”

The Dead Milkmen have released the third in their new series of limited-edition 7-inch singles — “The Boston Molasses Flood” — and you can now stream both songs off the vinyl single plus the digital-only bonus track. The Primitives today released a new single — it’s out digitally now in the U.K., and will be followed by a limited-edition 7-inch in the U.S. and Europe next month — called “Lose the Reason,” and you can hear the track right now via its just-debuted music video. The song arrives in the U.S. on 7-inch on March 4.

Duran Duran today announced it will mark the 30th anniversary of the band’s first U.K. No. 1 single — “Is There Something I Should Know?,” released on March 9, 1983 — by reissuing the single as a limited-edition blue-vinyl 7-inch for Record Store Day, which this year falls on April 20.
