Midnight Oil this week will release the reunited band’s first new music in 17 years, a song called “Gadigal Land” that is the first single to debut from the group’s forthcoming mini-album The Makarrata Project that was recorded in collaboration with “our First Nations friends.” Full details right here.

London’s Folk Devils, a blues-splashed post-punk act originally active from 1983 to ’87, are back with their first new music in 33 years, a three-song EP called Forever that’s due out in September but which can be streamed right now exclusively at Slicing Up Eyeballs. Listen to the EP right here.

Bauhaus will open what it’s referring to as a 2021 world tour with a pair of rescheduled concerts in México City next April as the reunited band slowly shifts its planned 2020 touring activity — disrupted, like everything else, by the coronavirus — to next year. Punk icons X celebrated today’s 40th anniversary of their landmark debut Los Angeles by surprise-releasing Alphabetland, the band’s first album in 27 years and the first recorded by its original lineup — Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and D.J. It took The Cravats — skronky veterans of U.K. punk’s fabled Class of 1977 — some 37 years to follow up their debut album The Cravats in Toytown with sophomore LP Dustbin of Sound. Another week, another concert announcement: The Bauhaus reunion continues to roll out one show at a time, with the latest being news of a late-September concert in Atlanta.
