Cabaret Voltaire will perform live for the first time in nearly 22 years this August when the group — “a lineup now consisting solely of machines, multi-screen projections and Richard H. Kirk” — plays a set at the Berlin Atonal Festival that will feature only new material and “no nostalgia.”

Fans in the Twin Cities won’t be the only ones to get a standalone, non-festival show out of The Replacements this fall: The reunited college-rock legends today announced they’ll headline Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, N.Y., a 17,000-seat venue that was home to the U.S. Open Tennis Championships for decades.

The reunited original lineup of Scottish indie-pop outfit Close Lobsters today released a brand-new EP that marks the band’s first recordings in a quarter century, and we’re thrilled to premiere the video for one of the tracks, “New York City in Space,” here on Slicing Up Eyeballs.
