The reunited Big Audio Dynamite will return to the U.S. this August and are moving forward with plans to reissue 1986’s ‘No. 10, Upping St.’ — possibly with unreleased material co-written by frontman Mick Jones and former Clash bandmate Joe Strummer.

When last week checked in with MBV Watch, the long-rumored, near-mythical reissues of My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Isn’t Anything’ and ‘Loveless’ were due to come out this week. Of course that didn’t happen.

Mick Jones and Co. ‘have plans in the works for a new Big Audio Dynamite album,’ according to a news release e-mailed late Monday by Sony Music promoting the band’s three upcoming U.S. performances.

While R.E.M. is busy promoting its forthcoming new album ‘Collapse Into Now,’ the band will continue its reissue series with the release later this year of an expanded 25th anniversary edition of 1986’s ‘Lifes Rich Pageant.’

Although Grinderman’s been on the frontburner of late, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds move on to Round 3 of their extensive reissue campaign this spring, delivering expanded re-releases of 1994’s ‘Let Love In,’ 1996’s ‘Murder Ballads,’ 1997’s ‘The Boatman’s Call’ and 2001’s ‘No More Shall We Part.’

Two mid-period albums by goth-rock icons The Mission — 1995’s Neverland and 1996’s Blue — are set to be reissued in the U.K. next month, expanded to include B-sides, remixes and covers of John Lennon’s “Instant Karma” and “Pictures of Matchstick Men” by Status Quo.

Morrissey in April will release a new greatest-hits collection — the 18-track ‘The Very Best of Morrissey’ — featuring an unreleased, Siouxsie-less version of ‘Interlude,’ and will precede the set with a single backed by two unreleased ‘Viva Hate’ outtakes.
