The BBC last night premiered a one-hour documentary about Soft Cell that recounts the ups and downs of the early-’80s synthpop stars, culminating with the reunion last September of Marc Almond and Dave Ball to play together for the first time in 15 years — and the last time ever. Watch it here.

As we reported last fall, the documentary “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records” — which, to date, has only screened at film festivals and special events — will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in April, along with a soundtrack album. We first wrote about Freedom Records & Films’ documentary about Mojo Nixon back in 2013, and, at the time, it was expected out in 2014. We’re not entirely sure what delayed it, but the production has recently announced the film — “The Mojo Manifesto” — will be released in 2020. See the trailer right here.
The concert film/documentary “New Order: Decades” — chronicling the group’s “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick — was broadcast last month on the U.K.’s Sky Arts television network, and finally has surfaced online for the rest of the world to see. Fans at long last will be able to get their hands on a copy of the “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax!
