As we reported last fall, the documentary “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records”  — which, to date, has only screened at film festivals and special events —  will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in April, along with a soundtrack album. We first wrote about Freedom Records & Films’ documentary about Mojo Nixon back in 2013, and, at the time, it was expected out in 2014. We’re not entirely sure what delayed it, but the production has recently announced the film — “The Mojo Manifesto” — will be released in 2020. See the trailer right here.

The concert film/documentary “New Order: Decades” — chronicling the group’s “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick — was broadcast last month on the U.K.’s Sky Arts television network, and finally has surfaced online for the rest of the world to see. Fans at long last will be able to get their hands on a copy of the “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Post-punk warriors Wire have announced plans to enter the studio next month to begin work on the band’s 17th album, as well as early explorations into making “a film about Wire by Wire” — a documentary that may ultimately be funded by fans through Kickstarter. The band also is touring Europe later this year.

A new hybrid concert film/documentary called “New Order: Decades” that chronicles the legendary band’s “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick will be broadcast on the U.K.’s Sky Arts network on Sept. 22. The film includes performance footage of the concert as well.
