Peter Murphy this week announced a late-summer concert at Hollywood’s famed Roxy Theatre, part of a 50-band Sunset Strip Music Festival that will be headlined by Marilyn Manson and celebrate the music of The Doors. Other acts on the bill include Bad Religion, The Offspring and De La Soul.
Last weekend’s Cure-headlined Primavera Sound 2012 festival in Barcelona also saw an appearance by ChameleonsVox — the band featuring frontman Mark Burgess and drummer John Lever of post-punk favorites The Chameleons — and we can now bring you a capture of the full webcast of the band’s 50-minute set.
The Cure played a 36-song set at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound 2012 peppered with surprises, including the first performance of ‘Fight’ since the ‘Kiss Me’ tour, only the third-ever performance of ‘The Caterpillar,’ a rare airing of ‘Dressing Up’ and the first-ever performance of B-side ‘Just One Kiss.’
