First announced as a bonus for pre-ordering the ‘Complete Bea’t box set, a package documenting The English Beat’s appearances at the two massive US Festivals in 1982 and 1983 — with both sets in full on DVD, and a CD featuring highlights from each appearance — will be released separately this September.
Before he gets to his belated 25th anniversary tour and reissue of ‘So’ this fall, Peter Gabriel will release a newly restored, HD version of his Grammy-winning 1994 concert film ‘Secret World Live’ — filmed over two nights in November 1993 in Modena, Italy, during the tour for 1993’s ‘Us’ — on both DVD and Blu-ray.
With Public Image Ltd.’s first new album in 20 years — ‘This Is PiL’ — arriving at the end of this month, we can now bring you the record’s cover art as well as details of the U.K. deluxe edition, which will include a bonus DVD featuring John Lydon and Co.’s full performance at a London club last month.
Duran Duran has released the full tracklist and cover art for its upcoming live package “A Diamond in the Mind,” set for release in the U.K. on July 2 on all-region DVD and Blu-ray, in addition to a deluxe edition that features the 19-song concert film on both formats in addition to a bonus CD with 14 of those songs.
With the their comeback extending into a second summer of touring, the revived Duran Duran has announced plans to release a new live DVD and CD called ‘A Diamond in the Mind,’ recorded last December at a tour stop in Manchester, England. Fields of the Nephilim this month will release Ceromonies, a document of a pair of concerts at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in 2008 that will be available as a 2CD/DVD set, a double LP, a digital download and a ‘collector’s box’ that features all of that, plus ‘a wealth of extra artifacts.’
Last fall, Eagle Rock Entertainment released the first-ever live album from The B-52s, the 18-track ‘With the Wild Crowd! Live in Athens, Ga.’, recorded in the group’s hometown earlier that year. On March 20, the imprint will release the DVD and Blu-ray companions, featuring two more songs than the CD version. T
