Chicago reissue label Numero Group — which has been teasing a major Hüsker Dü project since last fall — this afternoon offered up the first taste of its work, releasing via digital channels a newly remastered edition of the band’s 1983 debut studio album Everything Falls Apart. The Oakland, Calif.-based label Sell the Heart Records has just released a two-part, 21-song collection of Fugazi covers by California indie acts including No Knife, Warsaw, Great Apes, theSTART, Long Knifes, Identical Homes, My Last Line and more. Stream the whole thing here.

Luna — Dean Wareham’s reunited post-Galaxie 500 dreampop act — will put out its first new music since 2004 in September with the simultaneous release of a 10-song covers album called A Sentimental Education and a 6-song instrumental EP titled A Place of Greater Safety.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark today premiered the first official single off their upcoming album The Punishment of Luxury, a soaring, classic-sounding single called “Isotype” that will be released digitally tomorrow and will be released on 12-inch vinyl as well.

Former Yazoo frontwoman Alison Moyet gave fans the first taste of her upcoming ninth solo album Other via its spare title track back in March. But now comes the official first single, “Reassuring Pinches,” an electronic chiller that you can hear below in its original form and radio mix.
