Ministry has released a new live album on Bandcamp — with a vinyl edition following in September — that, while not advertised as such, is taken from the same 1990 concert that spawned the six-song In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up live album and companion home video release.
The Jay Aston-led version of Gene Loves Jezebel — there are two incarnations of the band, each fronted by an Aston twin — is poised to release a new studio album titled Dance Underwater, the first collection of new music from a version of GLJ in 14 years. The Church, at work on a follow-up to 2014’s Further/Deeper, have released a new song called “Another Century” ahead of the band’s return to the U.S. later this month for a short run of concerts in the eastern half of the country, including a slot at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. The reunited Dream Syndicate today announced its first new album in 29 years, an eight-song collection titled How Did I Find Myself Here? that’s due out in September and is preceded by the release of its title track, an 11-minute psychedelic journey that you can stream in full right here.
Chicago reissue label Numero Group — which has been teasing a major Hüsker Dü project since last fall — this afternoon offered up the first taste of its work, releasing via digital channels a newly remastered edition of the band’s 1983 debut studio album Everything Falls Apart.
