This week, they covered the Sisters’ 1987 classic “Lucretia My Reflection”

Morrissey today released the third song off his upcoming 10th solo album Low in High School, the apparently Brexit-themed single “Jack’s Only Happy When She’s Up On Stage,” which you hear in full via the official lyric video below. The 7-inch release will include a cover of the Elvis Presley classic “You’ll Be Gone.”

It’s not the new album Tears For Fears long have been working on, but the duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith today debuted their first original song in 13 years, a track called “I Love You But I’m Lost” that will be one of two new songs on the group’s upcoming greatest-hits disc.

Now that the promotional campaign for the reissue of The Smiths’ classic 1986 album The Queen is Dead has resulted in the release of previously unreleased live versions of every song off that record, we’ve done the obvious and stitched them together into a full-album playlist.

A second previously unreleased demo of an unheard song from R.E.M.’s sessions for its 1992 classic Automatic for the People has been released ahead of that album’s reissue next month, a song called “Devil Rides Backwards” that’s being billed as the album’s “great lost track.”

The weekly dribble of previously unreleased live versions of tracks off The Smiths’ classic The Queen is Dead continues this week, though, for some reason, this latest cut — “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out,” recorded Aug. 15, 1986 — was released on Spotify and not YouTube like its nine predecessors.

Frankie Rose, a former member of indie-pop groups including Vivian Girls and Dum Dum Girls, has recorded a front-to-back cover of The Cure’s 1980 sophomore album Seventeen Seconds that will be made available next month to members of the Sounds Delicious vinyl subscription service.
