Long-running British post-punk act Sad Lovers & Giants next month will release a 5-disc box set that’s being billed as the first comprehensive anthology of the group’s music, covering the band’s different lineups through the 1980s and beyond across the set’s 89 tracks.

A box set of 10 pre-1980 singles by the Ramones with reproduced Sire labels and picture sleeves (where applicable) will be released next month as part of Record Store Day in the U.S. and U.K., a collection of “great punk rock tracks that changed the course of rock ‘n’ roll.”

Cherry Red Records this week announced plans to release a five-disc box set titled Silhouettes & Statues: A Gothic Revolution 1978-1986 that will chart the evolution of the U.K.’s goth movement over 82 tracks that span the late ’70s through the mid ’80s. The collection will be released June 2.

Midnight Oil today unveiled plans for their long-awaited reunion, announcing a world tour that will take the band to North and South America, Europe and the U.K., and New Zealand and Australia this year — plus the release of three different box sets, including one that promises 14 hours of previously unheard and rare material.

Lloyd Cole will follow up his 2015 box set collecting his work with The Commotions with a new six-CD package that pulls together his first four solo albums, a “lost” fifth solo album that assembles material from other sources and a disc of 20 previously unreleased demos.

To coincide with their first headlining tour in 24 years, The Replacements next month will release an 8-disc box set that collects the band’s seven studio albums and one EP released between 1981 and 1990, an announcement made today via a Rhino Records press release that had been copy edited by the band itself.

Next year’s shaping up to be a good one for fans of Lloyd Cole, as the singer-songwriter this week announced a nine-date U.S. tour — with the promise that “there will be more” shows added — and has revealed that he’s at work on a six-disc box set collecting material he recorded with The Commotions.
