Gang of Four today premiered a brand-new song and a brand-new lineup, with vocalist John “Gaoler” taking the place of founding member Jon King, who had participated in the group’s mid-2000s reunion and 2011 studio album Content. Stream the new song “Broken Talk,” which premiered today on Pitchfork.
Meat Puppets return this spring with their 14th studio album — the 12-track Rat Farm — and now you can get your first taste of the record, in the form of lead-off single “Down,” which is streaming via the YouTube embed posted here. The album is due out April 16 on Megaforce Records.
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark today premiered the video for “Metroland,” the first official single off the band’s upcoming album English Electric, and it’s in animated clip in a similar vein to the pair of teaser clips the band released in the lead-up to the actual single.
Gorman Bechard, director of the 2011 documentary “Color Me Obsessed: A Film About The Replacements,” is putting the finishing touches on a new film called “Every Everything” about former Hüsker Dü drummer, singer and songwriter Grant Hart — and he’s once again turning to fans for financial support for the project.

The Cure and New Order each will return to North America this summer, as both bands were announced this week as headliners at Montreal’s three-day Osheaga Festival Musique et Arts in early August — a billing that will put the two legendary acts just hours away from Chicago, which hosts Lollapalooza that same weekend.
