Cherry Red Records continues its series of imagined sequels to the NME’s famed C86 cassette with the release this summer of C88, a three-disc box set featuring music released in 1988 by then-indie acts such as The Stone Roses, The House of Love, Kitchens of Distinction, The Vaselines and more.

Depeche Mode made its second foray onto late-night American television to promote its new album Spirit, appearing on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Monday night to perform “Where’s the Revolution.” The band played the same song last month on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

R.E.M.’s multiplatinum eighth album Automatic For the People will receive a 25th anniversary reissue this fall on the newly christened Craft Recordings reissue arm of Concord Bicycle Music, which in late 2015 signed a worldwide licensing deal for the band’s Warner Bros. albums.
