The Jesus and Mary Chain — who performed live just a handful of times last year — have been confirmed for their first show of 2014 as organizers of the Cultura Ingelsa Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil, announced this week that the Brothers Reid will join Los Campesinos! to close out the the 18th installment of the Brit-celebrating music fest on May 25.
According to the event’s organizers, the festival runs May 9 through 25 with a schedule of music, food, cinema, art, theater and dance, with what appears to be a free closing concert set for the the Memorial of Latin America Civic Square on May 25.
It’s not yet known whether the Mary Chain have further touring plans for 2014.
