Versions Galore — a great blog that celebrates cover versions “of, but not limited to, 80’s, funk, soul, rare groove, electronica, reggae, dub and indie” — recently asked Slicing Up Eyeballs to put together an hour-long mix of some of our favorite covers, and we happily obliged. The set is up today, and features both covers by some of our favorite ’80s college rock acts (The House of Love, Pixies, Echo & The Bunnymen, Morrissey, New Order and many more) and a couple covers of that era’s music by more modern groups.
