“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The shows airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).
The most recent two episodes are also available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.

Huge thanks for playing Portishead, brother! I’ve loved “Roads” since Dummy was released, and I’ll concede the live cut packs an emotional punch that somehow alludes the studio version. While on the subject, I’d urge anyone reading this to check out Julia Ducournau’s Alpha when it releases here in the States in a couple months, as “Roads” is used to great effect in the film.
The show on 2/8 will brush up against the anniversary of alt rock pioneer Damo Suzuki’s passing, how about adding Can’s “Vitamin C” to a playlist sometime soon?
