“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The shows airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).

The most recent two episodes are also available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.

Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes as long as they fit the show’s format and fall generally within the 1st Wave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song. If there’s something you’d like to hear, drop it in the comments below.

  5. Sill could use more old OMD

  6. Great show, Matt! Join In The Chant was my gateway drug into industrial music, I was psyched to hear it.
For a future show, would you consider “In The Kingdom Of The Blind The One-Eyed Are Kings”, by Dead Can Dance? Thanks!

  7. Great show Matt!

  10. Hey Matt, that was an excellent first show for the new year last night!

  11. Great show to start off 2026! For the next show:

    Lowlife – Swing

    Thank you!

  12. Outstanding way to kick off the new year! Thanks for playing my Banshees request. Wolfgang Press, Rema-Rema, and Wire were also highlights. Back to back covers by legends to close out hour 2 and begin hour 3 was a nice touch. And boy do I just love that Velocity Girl track, so many good memories attached to that one.

Listening to first wave on Sunday morning Swedish Egil gave a shoutout to Mr. Bernard Sumner on his 70th birthday. May I request one of my fave New Order guitar riffs as a belated happy birthday? “Chosen Time” off of Movement.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  13. Bowery Electric – Beat
