I have a slightly odd request for a future show, digging back in the proto alt rock psychedelia of the 1960s: “The Lion and the Cucumber” by the Vampire Sound, Inc.

    Have an awesome week, everyone!

  5. Loved the double dose of Stiv to kick things off. As always, a great show from start to finish…Hour one was superb! And thank for playing my request for Jane’s great cover of the Stones.

My birthday is this week…my request this time around is not an obscure one…but I would love if you could play JAMC’s “Head On” on an upcoming show. It’s just an old favorite of mine…
Thank you! Wishing everyone a good week.

  6. Patti Smith – So You Want To Be

  7. Really fun show last night! Thanks for playing my Jazz Butcher request. Pat Fish is dearly missed, as is Bowie. That was a fantastic Bowie selection, so good. Also loved that you played some Boo Radleys. I wore out my Giant Steps t-shirt back in the day. I remember meeting those dudes at a Lollapalooza, 94 I think, super nice guys, great band.

Could you dig up a Swervedriver deep cut for a future communion? “Juggernaut Rides”

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  8. Hi matt, can you please play “ Bewitched “ or “ Slash Your Tires “ by Luna on a future show. Great selection of shoegaze in the latter half of the show also great punk rock opener, it pumped me ip for the rest of the show.

  12. Absolute banger of a show this week Matt! Hour 3 was quite simply perfection!!! I’m feeling some old school vibes this time around……some possible suggestions for next time:

Circle Jerks – Wild in the Streets (Remastered 2021)
    Fugazi – Merchandise
Suicidal Tendencies – I Want More

If this doesn’t get you off the couch, nothing will lol!!!!

    Thanks again as always!!!! 。◕‿◕。

    Dave

  15. Great set! True story: my one and only experience playing an Open Mic night happened in college and consisted of singing Perry’s version of Sympathy while my bud played guitar. It was at that moment when I realized I was _not_ meant for the stage.

Thanks for playing Consolidated – they feel pretty relevant these days!

We always appreciate the darkness you bring, Matt!

  16. Hey Matt

Awesome show!…. especially loved the PTV // I.C. Water — Towards Thee Infinite Beat track. RIP GPO.

Here’s a request for Clan of Xymox – “This World” — from Hidden Faces.
Not one of their “4AD era” classics, but they are pretty much always playing this one live at their recent shows! :)

    Cheers!

  17. Hour 1 was the winner this week. Bowie, The Muses, Mr. Cope, and Jazz Butcher all made the perfect little hour. But I loved them all.
Thanks for the good music. Been listening to this one all week. Take care.

  18. As always a fantastic show. It’s amazing to hear some gems for the very first time. ( again ).

If I may, India by the psych furs? And if I may be so bold, as the opening track. Phenomenal build to a raucous slice of 1980. Cheers from Canada

  19. Amazing show as always. You always bring something new to these aged ears.

How about Peter Murphy “Cuts You Up”? I think it fits the vibe of the show and any newcomers to the show may be unaware of it.

Thanks again for the joy you bring.

  20. Attrition – Beast Of Burdon (Take A Walk) (1984) Apple Music + Qobuz + Bandcamp
Judy Nylon and Crucial – Room Without A View (1982) Vinyl & Cassette
