It’s always a joy hearing a song you’ve requested in the past continuing to see play. I love it when you speak Wax Trax! to me. Was it just me, or did that A Split second song have some familiar Lord’s of Acid and the major motion picture Alien vibes? You should play them one more time. The former. Until then:
The Cramps – Green Fuz
Yes please and thank you? As my daughter would say, all Skinny Puppy is good, but Smothered Hope especially. Uma probably wins best “new” song for me. Solid start of the year show. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work.
Whatever it is you’re paid for this show, it’s not enough. But there’s a lot of folks that are glad that you do.
What a great show. Have to give it to Hour 1. That little punkish set you started with was awesome. And the Martin Dupont cut was a nice end point to it.
Thanks for the great music. Have a good week.
Morrrissey – Suedehead (Sparks remix)
Good morning!
Love everything you bring week after week!
Maybe The Bolshoi “Books on the Bonfire”?
Wow! I loved the punk stuff in hour one, then Loop, Stone Roses and one of my favorite Nick Cave songs. Thank you for another fantastic show.
The punk set inspires my request:
Weirdos “we got the neutron bomb”
Thank you!
Killer punk block in hour one after a perfect opener (The The live last November was probably the best show I saw all year, or Slowdive). Thanks for including my Dead Kennedy’s request in the punk block.
One of the many things I love so much about this show is being exposed to bands that I’ve never heard before. This week it was two bands in hour one, The Scientists and Martin Dupont. So good! Nice to hear some more Loop along with Breathless, an oldie from Stone Roses and For Against. Blistering industrial block to close out hour two as well.
Kind of an out of left field request here that may not fit in but how about “El Diablo en el Ojo” by Tindersticks? Would fit nicely next to anything by Nick Cave.
Have a great week Matt, cheers!
Great hearing So Young by the Roses.
