  1. A programming note: You’re welcome, and even encouraged, to keep leaving requests here, but due to some scheduling issues, they won’t be played until September at the earliest Thanks for your patients and for listening…

  2. “Crystal Clear” by the Darling Buds for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. This week had a different vibe to it. I like it when you mix it up a bit. That is one of the reasons why I never miss a show. Usually on demand but I do catch every one.

  4. Hi Matt, I would love it if you play “Rubber glove seduction” by Ministry. I’m dedicating it to my wife Casey. She loves dancing to this song.

  5. Ken Carlyle

I hope these requests don’t pile up too much for you, Matt.
If you have space on a show in September I would love to hear “Reality” by Tackhead off their seminal Tackhead Tape Time LP. Thanks.

  6. great show last night matt! I really liked Screams for Tina.

  7. The Wedding Present – What Becomes of the Broken Hearted

    • Great, great show last night. I would love to hear some Trisomie 21, maybe The Last Song? But any track really. Here’s hoping there’s no intense dislike!

  8. Matt, thank you for playing my X request. It’s perfect timing since I’m in LA and it’s my birthday this week – this show will be on repeat for me! Love The Damned to kick things off plus Young Marble Giants, Bowie, JAMC…
No request for this week -thanks for the scheduling update…Hope all is well!

  9. Thanks for “Credit in the Straight World”! Great show, as per usual. Final hour especially cooked.

  10. That third hour was smoking hot, wow. Great show from start to finish as per usual, but man that final hour was fine. Loved the deep cuts from The Cure and Bowie and The Bunnymen (Porcupine gets my vote for their masterpiece album). Amazing cut from Throbbing Gristle. And anytime we get The Creatures and The Banshees in the same hour is a blessing.

Thanks for the programming note heads up. I’ll take a requests break this week and just say thank you for always playing so many requests, it means a lot.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  11. Seconded!

  12. Please play VAST- “pretty when you cry”

  13. Enjoyed the balance of darkness in each hour!

    Here are some requests –

The Cult – A Flower in the Desert
    The Rosemarys – Color Wheel

    Thanks!

  14. XTC – Complicated Game (1979)
Harry Crews – Gospel Singer (1990)

  15. Randall Griffith

Great show, as always. Could you play the Lydia Lunch/Roland S. Howard version of “Some Velvet Morning”? I was introduced to the song on your show in the form of the Slowdive cover, and someone else mentioned the above-referenced collaboration, which sounds like it would be wild!

    Thanks,
    Randall

  16. Thanks for the Crash Course in Science. Gotta agree with those who called Hour 3 the winner this week. It was pretty solid, especially the Bowie, Marc Almond, and Coil.

Great show this week. Looking forward to next week. Have a great week.

  17. Hi Matt,

Great show this week. Would love to hear Pink Turns Blue’s “Walking on Both Sides” on your show – even if that means September! Thanks.

    – Tony from Boston
