Duran Duran
Duran Duran is expanding its North American tour this spring and summer with just-announced dates in San Diego and New York City, with fellow “A View to a Kill” alum Grace Jones joining regular tour openers Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC at the latter show.
The new concerts are scheduled for Aug. 22 at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego and Sept. 22 at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. Jones, who appeared on the 1985 album So Red the Rose by Duran spinoff Arcadia, only will appear at the New York concert.
A date in Los Angeles “will be announced soon,” the band says in an email to fans.
A presale for the two new shows is set for 10 a.m. local time Monday, April 10, for Duran Duran VIP members and the general on-sale follows at 10 a.m. local time Friday, April 14.
Visit duranduran.com for full ticketing and presale details.
Duran Duran is touring behind its most recent album, 2021’s Future Past, and is also working on a “special new music project” due out later this year featuring their former guitarist Andy Taylor — who is terminally ill — as well as other unspecified “family and friends.”
