Tonight’s Slicing Up Eyeballs Music Hour on Strangeways Radio featured music off albums that made the Top 100 Albums of 1982 list, including tracks by The Beat, Split Enz, The Dream Syndicate, Orange Juice, Depeche Mode, Mission of Burma, Christian Death and more.

Gary Numan will return to U.S. shores late this summer for a very short run of concerts on the West Coast, performing at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle in late August and, while he’s here, playing shows in California and Oregon as well. The tour opens Aug. 28 in Sacramento.

My Bloody Valentine will return to the U.S. for the first time since 2009 when the band co-headlines, along with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the 2013 installment of FYF Fest in Los Angeles this August, organizers announced this week. The festival is set for Aug. 24-25 in L.A. State Historic Park.

The Cult today announced that it will perform its third album Electric on tour in the U.S. and U.K. this year as news also emerged that the 1987 hard-rock record will receive an expanded reissue that pairs it with Peace, the follow-up to Love the band ultimately abandoned in favor of recording Electric with producer Rick Rubin.

John Lydon’s resurrected Public Image Ltd. went Down Under last month for a tour of Australia in support of last year’s comeback album This Is PiL, and the folks at Moshcam have been so kind as to post a full two-hour show filmed April 11 in Sydney. Check out the full set right here.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have been favoring animation for many of the promotional clips for their new album English Electric, and that remains the case when it comes to the video for new single “Dresden.” The clip finds Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys in animated silhouette.
