Ex-Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy will embark on an extensive tour the U.S. in March and April, hitting, at a minimum, cities on the East and West coasts, plus major cities in between, judging from dates assembled from venue and ticketing websites — and thanks to a heads-up from a sharp-eyed reader.
UPDATE 2/14/11: New album and full tour announced. See details here.
There’s been no official announcement yet from Murphy, but, so far, at least 25 dates have emerged, beginning March 8 in Portland, Ore., with stops in California, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia planned before an April 10 show in Chicago — although based on gaps in that schedule, additional concerts are possible (see dates below).
The trek will be Murphy’s first U.S. tour since an extensive run of dates in the summer of 2009. Since then, he’s completed an as-yet-unreleased solo album called Ninth, recorded a second Dalis Car record with Mick Karn before the bassist’s death earlier this year, and had a public falling out with Dead Can Dance’s Brendan Perry, scotching a planned 100-date joint world tour by the duo.

LUCKY ME! I’m in Dallas. Just bought my tickets. Have seen PM twice before and he puts on an AMAZING show. Not to be missed. THANK YOU for the tip. I would have missed this otherwise.
Looks like he will continue to skip Denver. lame.
what’s the story with New York? i’d be shocked if it wasn’t included on the itinerary, he’s performed here everytime he’s gone on tour. PM has a lot of fans here, so keep us New Yorkers posted!
The State Theatre is in St. Petersburg, not Tampa.
i found out the New York date! April 2 at Highline Ballroom…tickets have been acquired!
Thanks for the NYC date. Adding it now…
ATLANTA!! no Atlanta dates? please tell me this is just an oversight… or in the planning process.. please!
The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA (Washington, DC suburb) has him listed for April 1st.

What about Boston?
Agreed where is the Boston date?
The NY date has Peter starting at 9:00 and another even having doors open at 10:30. So Peter is playing about an hour? Anyone confirm this? No way I’m paying for that.
I’m getting a little worried about the lack of Massachusetts date. Not many openings left.
Well im guessing the usa tour dates will go past 25 dates!
As for europe im expecting peter to tour there in june/july and with at least 14-20 dates of wich im guessing there will be four at least,im hoping he comes back to scotland….as last years gig was cool.
No Philly date yet??? not loving that!
I’ll second that, no Philly date yet??
Guess I’ll be heading to NYC.
if you live in Boston or Philly, you might as well come to NYC since it’s only a few hours driving distance from each.
Anyone checking out the show on the 11th in Ventura? Pretty excited for it and also excited for the opener Livan. Check him out!
Saw PETER MURPHY March 9: Mezzanine , San Francisco, CA and it was an awesome show!!! I have seen him many times and got to be close to him at this event. It was the best! I even got to chat with him a little, shake his hand and request a song “HURT”. If you get a chance to see him this 2011 US Tour go! He has so much energy!!!!!!!!
peter doesn’t EVER go on at 9pm…and sets are minimal 90+ minutes long FYI fans..
xo,
the traveler.
