For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present this clip from 1990 featuring Poison Ivy and the late Lux Interior of The Cramps talking to host Dave Kendall about home ownership, the band’s just-released album Stay Sick! and its semi-hit single “Bikini Girls With Machine Guns.” The nearly 9-minute clip, via spentjr, features a couple interview segments plus the classic “Bikini Girls” video.

Something I’m thankful for about The Cramps is that they never overflowed the audience they were meant for. Those of us who loved them felt that they were loyal back to us. We didn’t have to go through that painful phase where they were “discovered” by every frat boy, jock, and pop-music lover as the next cool thing.
But man, I miss Ivy. It’s so sad that we don’t have Lux, of course, but Ivy has become instantly invisible. Nobody seems to know what’s become of her.
