After an extensive U.S. trek this spring and a second round of well-timed CD-release performances in June, Peter Murphy will take his tour in support of new album Ninth across Europe in October — a 20-date campaign that includes five shows in the U.K. and four in Germany, the former Bauhaus leader announced today.
The tour opens Oct. 3 in Spain, and hits Italy before the five-date U.K. run, which is then followed by performances in France, Germany and Scandinavia, wrapping up Oct. 29 in Denmark.
In June, Murphy released the 11-track Ninth, which already has spawned the singles “I Spit Roses” and “Seesaw Sway.” He also recorded a new Dalis Car EP with Mick Karn before the bassist’s death earlier this year; that project, InGladAloneness, is expected out this fall.
