With The Mission having recently started using film projections in concert for the first time, Wayne Hussey decided to go the next step and put together a full music video for one of the band’s songs: “The Girl in the Fur Skin Rug,” a tribute to Marianne Faithfull that now features an accompanying video.

The Mission is going all-out for the release of its next single off reunion album The Brightest Light, today debuting a new music video for the track “Swan Song” and then, on Dec. 3, releasing a digital EP for the track that features five different version of the song plus a new track recorded during the sessions for the album.

Peter Hook’s current tour — on which he’s performing New Order’s first two albums, 1981′s Movement and 1983′s Power, Corruptions & Lies — pulled into Sao Paulo, Brazil, last night, and, like Peter Murphy before him, Hooky took the opportunity to bring local rock dignitary Wayne Hussey of The Mission onstage.

With their first new album in six years — and first to feature original band members Wayne Hussey, Simon Hinkler and Craig Adams since 1990 — due out next week, The Mission has begun streaming the full 12-track The Brightest Light via Spotify. Here, you can check out the full album.

The Mission opens its first North American tour in more than a decade tonight in Washington, D.C., and the band is using the occasion to debut the music video for “Sometimes the Brightest Light Comes From the Darkest Place,” the lead single from forthcoming album The Brightest Light.

Peter Murphy’s been on the road since April with his “Mr. Moonlight Tour,” and when it came time to wrap it up Wednesday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the former Bauhaus leader had a treat for fans: He was joined by The Mission’s Wayne Hussey to perform T. Rex’s “Telegram Sam” and David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust.”
