The Replacements reunion will roll on this year, with the band confirmed tonight to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this April along with Pet Shop Boys, The Afghan Whigs, Brian Ferry, The Cult, Toy Dolls, Fishbone, Bad Manners, Neutral Milk Hotel and more — plus headliners OutKast, Arcade Fire and Muse.

The Stranglers — singer-bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel, drummer Jet Black and keyboard player Dave Greenfield, plus former Toy Dolls guitarist Baz Warne — this week announced a belated U.S. release for the band’s 2012 album Giants, plus initial dates in late May and June for a planned North American tour.

This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Paul Weller, The Wedding Present, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, John Foxx and the Maths and the Toy Dolls, plus a live album from Frank Black and the Catholics, a live DVD/Blu-ray from The B-52s, and best-ofs from Erasure and Stiff Little Fingers.
