The Replacements’ 1985 album Tim will receive a 4CD/1LP reissue this fall that will feature a new mix of the record, a bevy of previously unreleased alternate takes and more.

Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the Ramones, who played drums on and co-produced the band’s legendary first three albums (1976’s Ramones, 1977’s Leave Home and 1978’s Road to Ruin), passed away earlier today, according to the Ramones’ Facebook page. He was 65.

After making the rounds at film festivals and receiving art-house screenings over the past year, director Gorman Bechard’s documentary about The Replacements and their rabid fans — a film dubbed, appropriately, “Color Me Obsessed” — comes to DVD this fall in a two-disc set packed with six hours of extras.
