Tom Bailey, the former frontman of synthpop pioneers Thomspon Twins, this summer will release his debut solo album and first collection of music under any guise in more than two decades, saying he finds it “incredibly rewarding to be making pop music again.” Full details here.

The reunited Norwegian pop trio a-ha has begun rolling out summer 2018 tour dates, including a half-dozen shows in the U.K. that will find the group playing football stadiums and cricket grounds with all-star synthpop support from OMD and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins. See full dates here.

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey took to the stage in a small club in the U.K. last week for an hour-long set that featured his first performance of his old band’s material in 27 years, a warm-up for his appearance at the Rewind South festival over this past weekend and his upcoming North American tour.

Midge Ure returns this August with his first new solo album in more than a decade, a 10-song set called Fragile that he’ll promote by joining the 13-date Retro Futura Tour later this summer alongside Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Howard Jones, China Crisis and Katrina of Katrina & The Waves.
