The Wedding Present is just about finished with its North American ‘Seamonsters’ tour, but you can now watch a full performance from the beginning of the trek, thanks to Seattle radio station KEXP, which filmed this 30-minute set at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop in Austin, Texas, during South By Southwest.

The Wedding Present this week released their eighth studio album ‘Valentina,’ and accompanying it is a new short film set to opening track ‘You’re Dead’ by director Nick Power. The 5:46-long clip reportedly features 29 different visual references to past Wedding Present songs and/or albums.

This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Paul Weller, The Wedding Present, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, John Foxx and the Maths and the Toy Dolls, plus a live album from Frank Black and the Catholics, a live DVD/Blu-ray from The B-52s, and best-ofs from Erasure and Stiff Little Fingers.

This year’s South By Southwest will feature appearances by a horde of ’80s college rock vets, including The Jesus and Mary Chain, Bob Mould performing ‘Copper Blue,’ The Wedding Present, Thomas Dolby, The Cult, Dinosaur Jr and The dB’s, plus R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Mike Mills playing Big Star’s ‘Third.’
