The Stranglers — singer-bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel, drummer Jet Black and keyboard player Dave Greenfield, plus former Toy Dolls guitarist Baz Warne — next week will release ‘Giants,’ their 17th studio album and first in six years, and are previewing the disc by streaming the single ‘Time Was Once On My Side.’

British record producer Martin Rushent — who helmed The Human League’s genre-defining 1981 album ‘Dare,’ as well as beloved post-punk/New Wave-era records and singles by The Stranglers, Buzzcocks, XTC, The Go-Go’s and more — died Saturday. He was 63.

Former Stranglers frontman Hugh Cornwell will embark on a 14-date North American tour later this month — hitting the West Coast and Midwest of the U.S., plus a lone Canadian stop in Vancouver — before venturing to South America for three concerts and returning to the U.K. for eight more dates.
