Morrissey will follow up his just-released reissue of 1992’s Your Arsenal with a new remastered edition of that album’s follow-up — Vauhxall and I, released exactly 20 years ago today — on June 2, the singer announced today via fansite True To You. The album is remastered by Bill Inglot.

Warner Music UK today launched a new official website for The Smiths, an timeline dubbed “The Interactive Sound of The Smiths: 1982-1987” that lets visitors scroll through the history of the band as presented through its discography, with each single and full album available to stream via Spotify.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the genre-shaping debut album from The Smiths, the John Porter-produced self-titled effort that remains, these three decades later, a point of contention among fans: Did these recordings best represent Morrissey and Marr’s early songs?

Just hours after announcing a pair of high-profile arena concerts in New York and Los Angeles, Morrissey this morning has unveiled a full 25-date U.S. tour this May and June that will hit many of the cities and venues that saw cancellations during the former Smiths singer’s disastrous late-2012 and early-2013 American tour.

Morrissey has yet to announce his promised U.S. tour this spring, but tonight he did confirm two major concerts: arena shows in Los Angeles and New York in May and June that will find the former Smiths singer sharing the stage with legendary crooners Tom Jones and Cliff Richard, respectively.
