The Jesus and Mary Chain’s six studio albums will be reissued this fall in expanded 2CD/1DVD packages that include B-sides, live sessions, TV appearances and rare material such as rejected early B-side ‘Jesus Fuck’ and a newly discovered recording of ‘Darklands’ with an added string section.

This week’s new releases include ‘Move Like This,’ the first new album from The Cars in 24 years; ‘Upside Down: The Creation Records Story’ on DVD and Blu-ray, plus a 2CD soundtrack; vinyl reissues of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s ‘Automatic’ and ‘Honey’s Dead’; and budget-priced The The and Psychedelic Furs best-ofs.

Since the announcement last month that MTV plans to revive its ‘120 Minutes’ franchise as both a new monthly TV show and a quick-hit web series, the music-averse network has begun populating its MTV Hive website with performances by the likes of The Cure, Pixies, The Jesus and Mary Chain and World Party.
