The House of Love will follow up this year’s brand-new studio album She Paints Words In Red with a live CD/DVD package that will be recorded at a pair of special concerts at a 200-seat club in London this November and released on Cherry Red Records next year, the reunited band recently announced.
This week sees the release of brand-new studio albums from OMD, Big Country (with Mike Peters of The Alarm) and The House of Love, plus reissues from Morrissey (‘Kill Uncle’) and Electronic (‘Electronic’), a live album from Sparks and a new 7-inch single from The Fall.
This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Depeche Mode, Wire, The House of Love, Edwyn Collins, Crime & The City Solution and The Wonder Stuff, plus the U.S. release of The Waterboys’ 2011 record, new compilations from Simple Minds, Midge Ure and the Primitives, and Transvision Vamp reissues.
We’re still two weeks out from the release of ‘She Paints Words in Red’ — The House of Love’s first new album in seven years — but Cherry Red Records this morning put the full 12-track record up on Soundcloud for all to hear. We briefly were able to post the video for “A Baby Got Back On Its Feet” — the first single and lead-off track from The House of Love’s sixth album She Paints Words in Red — last month before it was removed from YouTube, but we finally can offer up the track in full now that it’s been premiered.
It’s still more than six weeks until the arrival of The House of Love’s sixth album She Paints Words in Red, but the wait for new music is finally over with the premiere of the band’s video for “A Baby Got Back On Its Feet,” which is both the record’s opening track and its lead-off single. With an April tour of the U.K. expected to be announced Wednesday, The House of Love is now previewing two tracks off its upcoming sixth album, ‘She Paints Words in Red,’ on the band’s official Facebook page. Currently streaming are 1-minute samples of opening song “A Baby Got Back on its Feet” and the title track.
