Geils Band.

The Fixx returns next month with ‘Beautiful Friction,’ the band’s first album in nearly a decade and the first featuring the group’s classic mid-’80s — singer Cy Curnin, keyboard player Rupert Greenall, guitarist Jamie West-Oram, drummer Adam Woods and bassist Dan K. Brown — lineup since 1991’s ‘Ink.’
The Human League has set a belated U.S. release date next month for its first album in a decade — ‘Credo,’ which arrived in the U.K. this past spring — and has announced a 17-date North American tour this September that will see the act pairing up with Men Without Hats and The B-52s.
Modern English embarks on a second round of North American dates this weekend in support of its just-released ‘Blister EP,’ a download-only release featuring the title track, off this year’s ‘Soundtrack,’ plus a non-album cut and two demos.
