Paisley Underground standard-bearers The Three O’Clock will prepare for their Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival reunion this April with a far more intimate warm-up gig in Pomona, Calif. — part of the mammoth music fest’s slate Los Angeles-area concerts taking place before and between the event’s twin weekends.

This week’s new releases include ‘Giant,’ the 17th studio album from The Stranglers, plus new vinyl editions of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s 1994 album ‘Stoned & Dethroned’ and The Bangles’ 2011 effort ‘Sweetheart of the Sun.’

Elvis Costello will commemorate this year’s revival of his ‘Spectacular Spinning Songbook’ — which debuted during a 1986 trek that saw him choosing setlists onstage via a giant spinning wheel — with a limited-edition box set featuring a CD, DVD and 10-inch vinyl EP culled from the performer’s May 11 and 12, 2011, shows in Los Angeles.
