Indie-rock heroes Superchunk, ‘in the tradition of doing something we did last year,’ have posted a brand-new cover of The Misfits’ ‘Where Eagles Dare,’ which originally appeared as the B-side to the horror-punk band’s 1979 single ‘Night of the Living Dead.’
The A.V. Club wraps up its summer-long web series ‘Undercover: 25 Bands, 25 Cover Songs, 1 Small Room’ with this final installment: Shambling indie rockers The Walkman take on R.E.M.’s 1985 single ‘Driver 8,’ from the just-reissued ‘Fables of the Reconstruction.’

Reunited Scottish indie-pop outfit The Vaselines today unveiled a 22-date North American tour set for October that includes a trio of dates in Mexico with fellow Scots Belle and Sebastian as well as shows with Teenage Fanclub, Superchunk and the Dum Dum Girls.
