Following this summer’s cassette-only reissue of ‘Bug,’ the reunited Dinosaur Jr this fall will re-release that 1988 album along with the band’s first two records — 1985’s ‘Dinosaur’ and 1987’s ‘You’re Living All Over Me’ — on vinyl this fall, the trio’s current label, Jagjaguwar, announced this week.
Indie-rock powerhouse Dinosaur Jr will reissue its 1988 album ‘Bug’ for the second time in six years later this month — but rather than a tricked-out CD, this edition will be pressed on a super-limited, hand-numbered purple cassette, the band announced today.
With their new album ‘Lollipop’ now out, the Meat Puppets have unveiled European tour dates and two rounds of U.S. concerts — including an upcoming stint with Slightly Stoopid — that will keep the band on the road for the rest of the spring.
Reunited SST Records vets Meat Puppets today announced they will release their 13th studio album, dubbed ‘Lollipop,’ on April 12 on hard-rock imprint Megaforce Records.
The four-track ‘Minuteflag’ EP was recorded 25 years ago this week as a one-off jam by the members of Black Flag and the Minutemen, but not released until a year later following the death of the latter band’s D. Boon.
Sonic Youth will reissue four of its early classics — Confusion is Sex (1983), Bad Moon Rising (1985), EVOL (1986) and Sister (1987) — on 180-gram audiophile vinyl this winter as part of Original Recordings Group’s new “Official and Definitive Sonic Youth Vinyl Series.”
