This week’s new releases include individual reissues of each album in The Smiths’ catalog, plus MInistry’s first new album in five years (‘Relapse’), the U.K. release of Grinderman’s new remix album (‘Grinderman 2 RMX’) and the U.S. release of Paul Weller’s just-released solo album ‘Sonik Kicks.’
Paul Weller this week released his brand-new solo record ‘Sonik Kicks’ in the U.K. (it’s out in the U.S. next week), and now comes the fourth video from the album, a potentially seizure-inducing montage of brightly colored images, words and computer graphics set to opening track ‘Green.’
This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Paul Weller, The Wedding Present, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, John Foxx and the Maths and the Toy Dolls, plus a live album from Frank Black and the Catholics, a live DVD/Blu-ray from The B-52s, and best-ofs from Erasure and Stiff Little Fingers.
Paul Weller today began streaming his new solo album Sonik Kicks on his website, a full week before its U.K. release and two weeks before the record arrives in the U.S. On his website, he says: ‘I’m not an expert on the digital world but know it’s how most people hear their music and I’m proud of this album.’

Last month, ex- Jam frontman Paul Weller premiered the video for the first single off his upcoming ‘Sonik Kicks’ — rocker ‘That Dangerous Age’ — and today he follows that up with a new and very NSFW clip featuring album track ‘Dragonfly.’ It’s the third track Weller has previewed from the new album.
