Siouxsie today announced she’ll play her first concert in London in more than a decade, expanding to 15 the number of shows she’ll perform this year.

Siouxsie today expanded her 2023 touring plans with a pair of additional concerts in the U.K., bringing to seven the total of live performances she has scheduled.

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we flash back to the fall of 1985, during the weeks that Siouxsie and the Banshees continued to tour the U.K. despite the band’s frontwoman having dislocated her knee during a performance and wound up in a full leg cast. Watch it here.

We paused the weekly “120 Minutes” Rewind feature a few months back because we’d exhausted most of the best clips available on YouTube, but, as time as passed, new finds have surfaced, including an hour-long Siouxsie and the Banshees special called “Scream Superstition.”

BBC Four next month will follow up its excellent documentary ‘Synth Britannia’ with the new three-part ‘Punk Britannia,’ a look at the ‘historic cosmology, meteoric impact and smouldering aftermath of the most genuinely transformative force in British popular music history.’ The three parts air Friday, June 8 and June 15.

Thirty-five years ago today, a nascent Siouxsie and the Banshees — with co-founders Siouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin joined by Sid Vicious on drums — played their first concert at the famed 100 Club Punk Special, opening for The Clash and the Sex Pistols. Hear it here.
