Singer Chris Connelly and bassist/programmer Paul Barker — who played together in Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface and various other Wax Trax! Records industrial-rock supergroups in the late ’80s and early ’90s — are writing and recording new music together as Bells Into Machines.

Mike Scaccia — who joined Ministry during the Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste tour and went on to play with various Al Jourgensen-led projects including Revolting Cocks, 1000 Homo DJs and Lard — died early this morning after collapsing on-stage in Fort Worth, Texas, during a performance with metal band Rigor Mortis.

Former Ministry and Revolting Cocks member Chris Connelly lends his voice to a new cover of Joy Division’s ‘The Eternal’ by Chicago-based psychedelic black-metal act Nachtmystium — and you can stream the full track via the player embedded here. The cover appears on the B-side to Nachtmystium’s new 7-inch ‘As Made.’

Former members of KMFDM and Revolting Cocks will join Front 242 and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult this spring at the Wax Trax! Records Retrospectacle: 33⅓ Year Anniversary, a two-night multimedia concert in Chicago celebrating the legendary record store and industrial music label.
