Former Bauhaus leader Peter Murphy has set a June 7 release date for his ninth solo album — the aptly titled ‘Ninth,’ originally due out last fall — while also finalizing and formally announcing a 29-date U.S. tour this spring.

Peter Murphy will tour the U.S. in March and April, hitting, at a minimum, cities on the East and West coasts, with at least one Texas stop in between, judging from preliminary dates we’ve been able to assemble from venue and ticketing websites.

Mick Karn — who played bass in the acclaimed art-rock act Japan from the mid-’70s through the early ’80s and teamed up with Peter Murphy for the singer’s post-Bauhaus project Dalis Car — died today following a six-month battle with cancer. He was 52.
