Three weeks ago, we launched the inaugural Slicing Up Eyeballs Readers Poll in an effort to gauge what this site’s frequenters think are the year’s best new albums and reissues. Now, with hundreds of ballots cast, the results are in.

This week’s new releases include a new live CD/DVD set from Depeche Mode, the belated U.S. CD release of Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Industrial Complex,’ a new 2CD compilation from Einstürzende Neubauten and the 10th studio album from Meat Beat Manifesto.

The first new album in a decade-and-a-half from electro-industrial powerhouse Nitzer Ebb finally will be released on CD in the U.S. next month — albeit in expanded fashion, with a new song and a handful of mixes thrown in — as the band embarks on a fall tour of North and South America.
