Peter Murphy will wrap up his extensive touring in support of 2011’s Ninth with “a final run of intimate shows” in the western U.S. this August — including a previously announced club gig in Hollywood as part of the Sunset Strip Music Festival — plus one last show in New York.

Peter Murphy embarks on another U.S. tour on Thursday, and in advance of that, he spoke to Slicing Up Eyeballs about the making of ‘Ninth,’ how that record drew inspiration from the Bauhaus reunion album ‘Go Away White’ and how he re-teamed with Mick Karn to make a new Dalis Car EP prior to the bassist’s death.

To promote the release this week of Peter Murphy’s new six-track digital EP ‘The Secret Bees of Ninth,’ the folks over at RollingStone.com are offering a free download of the collection’s opening song, ‘Gaslit,’ which previously appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese release of ‘Ninth.’

Peter Murphy next week will release ‘The Secret Bees of Ninth,’ a six-track digital-only EP that features the previously unreleased songs ‘Rose Hunter,’ ‘Good Works’ and ‘Secret,’ plus bonus and extended tracks from his most recent studio album, ‘Ninth.’

Peter Murphy this week released the second music video from his current album ‘Ninth,’ a fairly straightforward performance clip for the single ‘Seesaw Sway,’ which you can see here. The video follows one made for ‘I Spit Roses’ earlier this year, and precedes the former Bauhaus’ leader’s tour of Europe and return to the U.S. this fall.

Peter Murphy will return to the United States for a third round of dates this year when he brings his ongoing tour in support of ‘Ninth’ back for a run of shows throughout November and into early December with up-and-coming modern rockers She Wants Revenge.
