Electronic-music giants New Order and Pet Shop Boys are teaming up for a co-headlining tour of North America this September and October, an 11-date trek called “The Unity Tour” that will find each act playing full sets and rotating who closes the show each night. Full dates and details right here.
Andrew Weatherall, the famed British DJ, musician, remixer and producer who helped Primal Scream craft its genre-flipping early masterpiece Screamadelica, died in a London hospital Monday after suffering a pulmonary embolism, according to his publicists. He was 56. Full details right here.
The concert film/documentary “New Order: Decades” — chronicling the group’s 2017 “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick — will receive its U.S. premiere when cable network Showtime airs the 88-minute work in late December. Watch a trailer for the film right here.

But the latest episode — the “Lost and Lonely Edition,” which charts the slow rise to U.S. hit-making status by The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order — was practically made for us.
New Order today announced it will perform a four-concert residency at the Fillmore Miami Beach in Miami, Fla., next January, nearly a year to the day after the band last performed at that venue — which was, to date, the group’s only performance in the U.S. this year. Full details right here.
